Rains causing havoc along our Spruit

Severe rains today caused the Belgrave low water bridge to flood again. Initially there were some individuals who were thinking of crossing it. Fortunately CAP blocked off the bridge to prevent any fatal disasters.

Bryanston bridge was also the scene of a large amount of paramedics, police and the  police diving unit. According to the CPF and local residents a group of displaced residents got caught by the rapisly rising river. Fortunately all were rescued based on feedback from the CPF: “Great job by SAPS, ER 24, Greg of CPF Guardians in assisting the rescue of people from under Bryanston Bridge. Thanks to all for quick response a day averting potential tragedy.”
