Belgrave Bridge Upgrade!?

We have received an update from the consulting company coordinating the proposed “Rehabilitation and Upgrade to Belgrave Street Bridge”. The notice reads as follows:

Dear Interested and Affected Party/ Stakeholder/ Organ of State

THE PROPOSED REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE OF BELGRAVE STREET BRIDGE IN BRYANSTON WITHIN THE CITY OF JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG PROVINCE

INVITATION TO REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED AND AFFECTED PARTY AND COMMENT ON DRAFT BASIC ASSESSMENT REPORT

19 June 2020

As per Government Gazette 43412 of 5 June 2020 “Disaster Management Act (57/2002): Directions Regarding Measures to Address, Prevent and Combat the Spread of COVID-19 Relating to National Environmental Management Permits and Licences”, an additional 21 days must be provided to I&AP’s for all public participation processes that were active and had to be paused as a result of the national lockdown.

Notice is hereby given that the Draft Basic Assessment Report public review period for The Proposed Rehabilitation and Upgrade to Belgrave Street Bridge has been extended. All I&AP’s/ stakehodlers/ Organs of State who have not yet commented are to have their comments reach Envirolution Consulting by Friday, 10 July 2020.
